Blues Point Apartment
The dynamic and angular architecture of the apartment interior sets the stage for thoughtful spatial planning and the design approach prioritizes the separation of private and public realms. The public realm consisting of an open plan living, kitchen and dining space encourages conversation and creates an enjoyable space for entertaining. A butlers pantry neatly tucked away behind the kitchen hides evidence of mess and is an extension of the kitchen space. Additionally, a water closet for guests is provided in order to retain this separation.
The private realm is designed to be a romantic and relaxing sanctuary for the client. This master suite incorporates a luxurious bathroom with a double shower and basin, a seating around to unwind and plush textural variation found throughout the headboard and bed.

The design harmoniously combines classic elements of contemporary design through furniture selections and joinery designs with an infusion of sophistication through the incorporation of diverse textures and vibrant colors. The clients' desire for a luxurious interior is fulfilled through a curated selection of marble in blues and grey hues: Arabescato and Pallisandro Bluette gracefully converse with each other, evoking a sense of elegance in the public realm. Fum Vaticano serves as a transition into the private realm, extending into the ensuite, and complements the grey, textural Zellige tiles. Walnut timber custom cabinetry and Oak flooring bring warmth into the space, while fluted wall panels add depth and texture.

While the overall palette remains relatively neutral, color finds its way into the soft furnishings and captivating artwork, weaving everything together to establish a sanctuary that caters to both entertaining and relaxation. The power of natural light has been harnessed through large floor to ceiling windows to illuminate each space during the day and take in sweeping views of the Sydney Harbour and surrounding city scape at night.
